Once fully healed following surgery it will be very difficult, if not impossible for people to detect you’ve had rhinoplasty surgery performed. Rhinoplasty is typically performed using one of two techniques: open or closed rhinoplasty. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made on the columella (the strip of tissue separating the nostrils). In closed rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside the nose. Both techniques aim to minimise visible scarring, and any scarring that does occur is usually minimal and fades over time, combined with a natural looking result, rhinoplasty leaves almost no tell-tale signs of surgery.

Sadly, it is not uncommon that we see patients who are unhappy with the results created by a previously sought surgeon. Fortunately, our Rhinoplasty surgeons are experts at performing ‘revision’ or ‘secondary’ corrective rhinoplasty surgery.

It is our standard policy not to operate on patients under the age of 18. Conversely there is no real upper age limit when it comes to having surgery at Cosmetic Surgery Partners, so long as the patient is in good health.

You will be given a full health check and deemed suitable for the surgery during your initial consultation with one of our expert consultants from our state-of-the-art rhinoplasty cosmetic surgery clinic in London.

You will have a dressing on your nose afterwards, and although you may feel bunged up for a few days afterwards, the pain is usual controlled with over-the-counter painkillers.

Although the results of rhinoplasty surgery are instant the initial bruising and swelling associated with the procedure tend to subside around 1-2 weeks following surgery. At this stage you will be able to notice initial results, however we advise all patients to wait 4-6 weeks following nose cosmetic surgery in order to see the full results of the operation.
