CQC Approved

It is a legal requirement for all providers of health and adult social care to be registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission), before they commence providing services to the public. Being registered means we are able to provide surgical procedures as well as treatment of disease, disorder or injury. A regulatory body for health and adult care in England, the CQC are charged by the government to ensure that the Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulations are met and adhered to. To comply with the CQC fundamental standards, we have robust policies and processes in place, ensuring the care and treatment we provide meets the requirements. Once a year, the CQC will inspect our clinics and post their finding on the CQC website. To ensure day to day compliance, our surgeon Mr Miles Berry (FRCS) is the appointed Registered Manager To ensure out services are safe, caring, effective, responsive to people’s needs and well-led, a comprehensive inspection is carried out. This is followed by a focused inspection on a smaller scale for two main reasons:

1. To look at a concern which may have been raised during a comprehensive inspection
2. If there is a change in circumstances

In order to carry out a focused inspection, five key questions are focused on, all of which are broken down into a further set of questions.

1. Are we safe?
2. Are we effective?
3. Are we caring?
4. Are we responsive to people’s needs?
5. Are we well-led?

Rated on all five questions above, we are also given an overall rating of our service. By law, we display the ratings we are given for all customers to see.

The 4 ratings are:

• Outstanding – the service is performing exceptionally well
• Good – the service is performing well and meeting expectations
• Requires Improvement – the service isn’t performing as well as it should and has been told it must improve
• Inadequate – the service is performing
